Over the last decade, Bollywood tried its hands in the arena of biographical films. While many films had the cliched touch of typical masala cinema, a few others were more than impressive. Doing justice to the real-life stories of inspiring personalities, the latter ones scored big at the box office as well as gained critical acclaim. And one such film was Aamir Khan starrer ‘Dangal’. This wrestling biopic was loosely based on the Phogat family of Haryana.
Upon its release, Dangal created a massive buzz while emerging as a big hit at the box office. Fans and critics showered each and every aspect of the film with immense love. However, the major highlight was B-town’s reaction to Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious project. The film fraternity was left stunned by the volume of this impressive biographical drama. So, today as a throwback Thursday ride, we take you back to the time when our Bollywood celebs were left spellbound watching Dangal.
Getting out of the screening hall, superstar Salman Khan was among the first ones who showered Dangal with love. The actor was highly impressed by every factor of the film. She also appreciated the dedication of child actors who played a pivotal part in the film. Later on, Saif Ali Khan was seen urging the audience to watch the film.
