Throwback Thursday: When Sidhique pulled off the most iconic selfie of Mollywood!

Actor Sidhique kick-started his illustrious career with his role in the 1985 film, Aa Neram Alppa Dooram. Ever since then, there was no looking back for him. He has been a part of a slew of films that garnered massive love from the audience. The Diwanjimoola Grand Prix actor has worked with biggies like Mohanlal, Mammootty, Biju Menon, Indrajith Sukumaran, Balchandra Menon, and many others. If you take a sneak-peek into Sidhique’s Instagram, he’s shared several pictures with the stars in Mollywood. However, it was his iconic selfie in January that brought all the megastars in one frame.

Earlier in January, Sidhique invited several friends from the industry for a get-together at his house. He invited Madhura Raja actor Mammootty, Yodha actor Mohanlal, Kunchacko Boban, Jaya Surya, Dileep, Jayaram, Unni Mukundan, among others, and everyone enjoyed a fun reunion together. Mammootty did the honours and clicked a selfie that brought everyone in the same frame. As soon as Sidhique posted this photo on Instagram, it went viral in no time. “A trillion-dollar smile,” read a user’s comment, whereas another fan penned, “This is the best selfie that I’m seeing on the internet.”

In another post, Sidhique remarked that it was an unforgettable evening for all of them. He added in Malayalam, “We were all in great joy and were happy about our lives. We parted early in the morning, after an unforgettable evening.” This is not the first time when the actor shared a picture with these stars. He often shares glimpses with them and also pens lovable notes.

On Mohanlal’s birthday, Sidhique expressed his love and gratitude for the actor. The latter wrote that he’s been travelling with Mohanlal for the last 35 years and that he’s always considered him as a friend from their 1st film onward. “Your love, care, pampering all are unforgettable. You are such a great actor but more than that you are a wonderful human being. I am so proud of myself because you are my friend my colleague, my brother, and my favourite actor,” Sidhique added.

He then went on to wish his ‘Lal’ and dearest friend on his special day. When the duo worked together for the film, Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea, Sidhique shared many BTS glimpses with the star. He wrote, “This dear friend of mine has been with me for the last three decades.” The upcoming outing is all set to hit the screens on March 26, 2021, and fans are already excited to watch the duo together. Sidhique has also shared photos with stars like Dulquer Salmaan, Kamal Haasan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ramesh Pisharody, Tovino Thomas, among others. He has movies like Anugraheethan Antony, Mohan Kumar Fans, and others in the pipeline.
