John Abraham spoke highly of his film ‘Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran’ while answering questions from the media at a press conference for the film. Read on to know what he had to say.

Bollywood actor John Abraham has always been passionate about the films he does. The actor has never shied away from talking about any of his films. With his upcoming movies in the pipeline, here’s a throwback video from a press conference held for his 2018 release Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran.

Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, is a film based on the 1998 nuclear bomb test explosions conducted by the Indian Army at Pokhran. The film stars John Abraham, Diana Penty and Boman Irani in lead roles. The release date of this film was postponed to avoid a clash with Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer Padmaavat.

While talking about the incident that established India’s identity as a Nuclear state, John said, “I think the reason why today India is cool and every youngster feels India is a cool nation is because of what happened in Pokhran in 1998 on the 11th of May at 3:45 pm.” “It’s a history defining moment for India,” he added. He also called director Abhishek Sharma the caption of the ship and credited him with the outstanding conceptualization of the project.

On the work front, John Abraham was last seen in the Sanjay Gupta directorial ‘Mumbai Saga’ alongside an ensemble cast comprising Emraan Hashmi, Suniel Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, and more. John currently has several films in his kitty and will be next seen in Satyamev Jayate 2, Attack, Ek Villian Returns and Pathan, to name a few.
