Travis Scott and Drake have been charged with causing crowd mayhem at an Astroworld event after a 23-year-old attendee sued both musicians for the terrible occurrence.

Everyone has been startled and devastated by the Astroworld festival catastrophe, which claimed the lives of eight concertgoers owing to a crowd surge at Travis Scott’s performance, which was the first night of the concert on Friday. While the rapper has stated that he will support the victims’ families and give his condolences to those who have died, Scott has now been included in a lawsuit with Drake, after a 23-year-old attendee sued both musicians for the terrible occurrence.

According to AFP, the complaint was one of the festival’s critically injured participants on November 5. A stampede occurred when a throng of 50,000 concertgoers at Houston’s NRG Park began pressing toward the stage while Scott was playing, resulting in eight deaths and over 300 injured.

The complaint also mentions Live Nation Entertainment since the complainant claims that security personnel contracted by the firm during the event did not react to requests for aid. Drake, who joined Travis on stage, is also being sued for continuing to perform and ‘inciting the audience,’ according to the lawsuit. This is one of the first lawsuits filed in the aftermath of the disaster. Houston Police Chief Troy Finner informed reporters on Saturday that a criminal investigation into the incident has been launched, involving both murder and narcotics investigators.

On Sunday, attorney Ben Crump, who specializes in civil rights and personal injury and has represented clients such as the families of police violence victims George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, announced that he had filed a lawsuit against Scott and Astroworld on behalf of Noah Gutierrez, a 21-year-old concertgoer.
