Popular Bengali television shows like Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay, Jamuna Dhaki, and Krishnakoli showcase beautiful love stories, which we all thoroughly enjoy. Characters like Jamuna Ray, Karna Sen, Nikhil Choudhury, and others have taught us countless little things about love over time. As Valentine’s Day quickly approaches us all, here are a few significant things we learned about love from them.
Watch what will happen next on Krishnakoli here:
1. Sangeet – A truly supportive partner
Sangeet fell in love with Jamuna, a village belle, and daughter of a dhaki. Despite facing immense opposition from his own family, especially his father, he stuck by Jamuna’s side at all times. Eventually, his parents came to the realisation of how perfect Jamuna was and accepted their relationship wholeheartedly. Isn’t unconditional support the only thing we expect from our partners?

2. Jamuna – To be in love is not to bow down
Although Sangeet was always supportive of Jamuna, his family was completely against their marriage due to the background she came from. Jamuna’s passion for dhak wasn’t very well accepted either. But Jamuna never succumbed to the pressure and gradually won them over. She proved, with Sangeet’s help, that one need not let go of their originality as a compromise to make their relationship work with someone.

3. Nikhil – worthwhile waiting for the right one
Krishnakoli’s Nikhil is one of the most dedicated lovers of all times. We witnessed how Shyama and he got separated for over 18 years after an unfortunate series of events. But the time apart did not take away his love for his wife and Nikhil proved that waiting is truly worth it all. Even though Shyama is hesitant about it all as she has no recollection of her past, Nikhil’s patience and willingness to wait for her to be comfortable deserves recognition too.
4. Karna – Sticking together through thick and thin
Karna and Radhika had reached a very tough point in their marriage where he was not ready to truly unite with her as a partner. However, he did not let those troubles drive him away from her. Even in times of distress in their marriage, he protected, supported, and stood by her constantly. And we all would love our partners to have a similar understanding of relationships too.
5. Radhika – patience and consistency always win
Radhika struggled with uniting with Karna in their marriage for a good while recently. She almost lost all hope in their relationship after several attempts of convincing Karna to accept her again. But with the help of her own belief, strength, faith, and with the help of Anuradha, Moni, and other well-wishers, she managed to make it to the time where they finally united as a couple.
