No, reporters claim that the Manmarziyaan actor had replaced late actor Irrfan Khan in the movie and while Vicky Kaushal was shooting for the film he had said every shot that he has done for the film is dedicated to him.

Shoojit Sircar’s first choice for the film was Irrfan Khan but his critical health conditions and untimely demise due to his long battle with cancer made the filmmaker choose Vicky Kaushal for the film.
Vicky Kaushal is currently basking on the glory of the film and the actor had opened up about replacing Irrfan in the movie and said to a leading publication that the late actor’s standard cannot be matched. Vicky Kaushal added that It’s impossible to match Irrfan Sahab and he has never tried filling his standards or matching his shoes. Vicky Kaushal said that he loves working with Shoojit Sircar and the world that he creates in his films. Vicky admires the kinds of films he makes and it was his good fortune to be a part of the film.
