Vidyut Jamwal And Amit Sadh Bring A New Epic Saga Of Friendships With ‘Yaara’

ZEE5 is set to bring you an epic tale of friendship, gangsters and loyalty with its upcoming direct-to-digital release ‘Yaara‘. This film written and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia is a remake of a French film, ‘Les Lyonnais’, and is adapted completely to the Indian history and context. This film is set to star Vidyut Jammwal (Commando franchise), Amit Sadh (Barot House, Operation Parindey) and Vijay Verma (Bamfaad, Gully Boy) in leading roles.

This film tells the story of ‘Chaukdi Gang’ and the two men who helped build this gang played by Vidyut Jammwal and Amit Sadh. This gang of four which includes Vijay Varma, is nabbed by the police and serve their time in jail. However, both men who once ruled the drug smuggling, gun-running and looting struggle in their own different ways to escape their past and start a new life after being released.

This film includes a stellar cast including Sanjay Mishra (Kadvi Hawa) and Shruti Haasan (Behen Hogi Teri). The writer and director, Tigmanshu Dhulia will also be appearing in the film. This film which starts off in the 1970s with the smuggler gangs, emergency and revolution and moves to the 1990s where capitalists began controlling the economy while being grey characters who stay on the right side of the law.

This film has been shot in different locations including Nepal, Romania, Dehradun, Tehri Dam, Bhopal, Delhi NCR, Rajasthan and Mumbai. It also promises to have some brilliant music composed by Ankit Tiwari, Superbia (Shaan, Gourav Dasgupta), Sidharth Revant.
