Vinay Rana, also known as Vin Rana, is an Indian television actor known for his role as Purab Khanna in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya. He also gained a lot of popularity with his role as Nakula in the super hit show Mahabharata, based on the Indian mythology.
Early Life And Family:
Rana was born in Delhi on December 16, 1986, and raised in Delhi. His father’s name is Krishna Rana and the actor has two sisters Kimi Rana and Reema Rana. He has a degree in B.Tech (Engineer).
He used to run a business before getting a modelling offer from an agency that saw his profile on a social networking site.
In February 2016, Rana wedded Nita Sofiani, a star from Indonesia. She holds the title of Miss Earth Indonesia 2013.
Career:
In September 2013, Rana began his media career by playing the character of Nakula, one of the five Pandavas, in the Star Plus serial Mahabharat, centred on the Sanskrit mythology of the same name.
He then appeared on the very same network as Karan Seth for the serial Ek Hasina Thi.
Then, from 2015 to 2016 he portrayed Malay Mittal’s character in Vishkanya Ek Anokhi Prem Kahani, alongside Aishwarya Khare.
Rana has played Purab Khanna as of September 2016, substituting Arjit Taneja in Zee TV’s very famous Kumkum Bhagya.Â
A year after that, he performed the same role in the show’s spin-off Kundali Bhagya.
He also starred in 2019 culture-based Kapil Salgaonkar ‘s character in Kavach 2: Mahashivratri, alongside Deepika Singh.
Awards:
In the year 2018, he got nominated for a Gold Award For Most Fit Character Male.
