Ashok mentioned that while he was busy, in between the shots, he found a Parai lying in a corner. He added that the excitement and happiness Parai brings is unexplainable. Ashok further wrote, “Playing after so long, lost touch.. so adhunaala kindly Ignore my mistakes asaan.” In no time, his video went viral and fans rushed to drop comments on it. Vishnupriya Ravi, Samyukta Hornad, among others lauded his talent, whereas, a user wrote, “Wow, Ashok. I’m so glad you actors take the time off to exhibit your inner talents on sets. I’m very much elated that you’ve not forgotten your roots. Parai is considered to be as a very important instrument and I’m proud you’ve shown this to people. On the work front, Ashok is all set to step into Mollywood withthe movie, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. Co-written and directed by Priyadarshan, the film will interestingly have Mohanlal playing the titular role in it. Not only this, but Selvan is all set to make his Telugu debut with the film titled Ninnila Ninnila, which also stars Nithya Menen and Ritu Varma. Speaking about his social media updates, Ashok took the internet by storm after he posted a black-and-white photo with Vijay Sethupathi, on the occasion of the latter’s birthday.
“Happy birthday my dear Sethu anna! I’ve got nothing but pure love for you. your love for people around you and your passion for cinema is always inspiring. Wishing you more and more success and health. Love you,” he wrote while sharing the post. The duo shared screen space in Oh My Kadavule and have also worked together in several other movies.
