Kaashmora is the story of a youngster by the same name. He loves quick money and earns his livelihood by posing as an exorcist. At a point, the young Kaashmora cons a politician and flees away. He also proves his credibility to audiences on a reality show. All of this is the filmmaker’s way of preparing us for what’s coming up next.

The real story begins when Kaashmora finds himself stuck in a forbidden mansion. As the rumours go, the mansion happens to be seven centuries old and haunted. The film traces how Kaashmora got himself stuck inside the mansion and his connection to the mansion and the ghosts stuck there. It is also at this part of the film when we see Nayanthara, as the princess.

Karthi is seen as the protagonist and the antagonist for the second time, after his hit film named Sirthai in 2011. And Sri Divya plays the role of an Investigative Journalist who sets out to expose Kaashmora and his misdeeds. The film is highly popular because of its massive scale and intricate details of the timeline. Not only that, but the film is also highly regarded for its sharp editing by V J Sabu Joseph.
