Who’s Your Daddy Season 2 is loaded with tons of twists, elements of comedy, and heartwarming scenes which make for a perfect comedy-drama.

Comedy writing is not as easy as it looks! It’s difficult to strike a chord with the viewers when it comes to comedy but some shows manage to do it just fine. For example, ZEE5’s Who’s Your Daddy Season 2 is high on its twisted humour quotient. The story is layered with gentle wit and human emotions. The show’s slice-of-life storytelling is enhanced by perfect performances from a wonderful cast.

In Who’s Your Daddy Season 2, Shoosha (Bhavin Bhanushali), a young college student works as a masseur and a delivery boy to earn his living. Being raised in an orphanage, he’s in search of his real parents. Eventually, he falls in love with his college mate Sukoon (Sameeksha Sud) but is shocked when he assumes that Sukoon’s father, Mohak (Mamik Singh) could be his birth father as well.

The story further unfolds as Shoosha and Sukoon embark on a journey to find the truth. They scratch the past stories, complicated old-school relationships while building up interesting subplots with a last-minute surprise. This episodic saga being a comedy of errors portrays different themes throughout the show be it the innocence of a young couple in love, the uncertainty of life, and the complexity of human emotions.

Bhavin and Sameeksha’s on-screen chemistry comes out naturally in essential moments as the relationship between these two characters evolve with each passing episode. Their performances make this show more lively.

Kritika (Anushka Sharma), Sukoon’s biggest rival, tries her best to create a rift between Shoosha and Sukoon. She plots cruel plans but an unexpected twist makes her confront Shoosha’s reality and we see a ‘change of heart’ in her character. We as viewers feel empathy towards Kritika when we are made aware of her background. Sharma’s ‘shift of character’ becomes the best part of her performance.

Humour is kept alive in each and every scene and the chemistry between all the characters becomes a vital part of the show. The comedy here is in serious situations considering the storyline and that’s a treat to watch. The characters never pretend to be funny or crack a joke and get going, it’s their accurate portrayal and comic timing that keeps you glued to your screens.

Who’s Your Daddy Season 2 is not just about Shoosha and Sukoon’s chemistry, the story has different perspectives, and each character has a standpoint. Director Chirag Arora has justified each and every character with specific reasons, and that’s like an add-on to the story. Also, the secondary characters get their say in the story, none of them is overshadowed.

For instance, the chaos in a ‘steady-for-years’ marriage and the on-screen chemistry between Mohak (Mamik) and Monica (Vidya Malavade) fill in the other side of the story. Batto (Lata Shukla), Sukoon’s grandmother gives this comedy a final touch of emotions as she relives her love story. There are many such heartwarming moments that make the show an engaging and entertaining watch.

Overall, Who’s Your Daddy Season 2 is loaded with tons of twists, elements of comedy, and heartwarming scenes which make for a perfect comedy-drama. The plot on paper which seemed experimental has been executed on-screens with utter perfection. This comedy of errors is surely an entertaining and a perfect treat for your weekend watch.
