Teri Meri Ikk Jindri has been full of high octane drama with Mahi’s (Amandeep Sidhu) ongoing wedding. With coronavirus restrictions and lockdown, people are finding it difficult to have one wedding but Mahi is having her second. Mahi’s wedding drama started when she was about to get married to Arjun but Pappu didn’t his sinister plans. While the wedding was called off, Mahi managed to get the situation back in control. While Mahi was sitting in her ‘shaadi ka mandap, all decked up for her big day, it took a major turn again. With so many dramas unfolding at one event, here’s why we think her wedding was the most dramatic one ever, even succeeding Preeta (Shraddha Arya) and Karan’s (Dheeraj Dhoopar) from Kundali Bhagya.
The wedding drama started with Mahi being in dilemma to get married which further lead to her getting married twice in ten days and eight episodes. Mahi’s family found an eligible bachelor Arjun for her who was the Chief Minister’s son. They were elated that Arjun belonged to a good family and Mahi would be happy. However, the ‘sanskari’ bachelor Arjun was actually fooling around as he had another relationship with Chanda.
On the other hand, Jogi (Adhvik Mahajan) was suffering as he realized he is in love with Mahi. So like Ranbir from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, he decided to be a part of Mahi’s wedding (Channa Mereya playing in the background). Pappu, the evil member of the Chopra family was not happy with her getting married to a rich guy. So of course he had to ruin it. He used his sister Chanda to woo Arjun but before that, he tried to humiliate Jogi and used him as a scapegoat to instigate Mahi.
During Mahi and Arjun’s engagement, Chanda made a grand appearance giving a mini heart attack to Arjun. Later, Pappu tricked Mahi and Jogi and intoxicated them. He then clicked intimate pictures of the duo and hence her wedding was called off.
While we all thought it was the end of a big fat dramatic wedding, Mahi manages to expose the real culprit (not Pappu but his aid) and gets ready for her marriage again. Jogi who knows the kind of sacrifice that she’s making (she knew about Arjun-Chanda’s affair), decides to kidnap the groom. But that’s not the only kidnapping that happened. Chanda, who’s in love with Arjun decides to kidnap Mahi and take her place at the wedding.
However, Mahi escapes her trap and reaches the venue on time but hey, the groom has already been changed. While Arjun is lying unconscious at Jogi’s place, someone else has taken his place at the mandap! And when Jogi realises it’s Tillu, he manages to drag him inside a room and takes his place and gets married to Mahi (honestly, he wanted this all along, ab to bahana mil gaya!)Â
While we thought #PreeRan’s wedding where Preeta got married to Karan instead of Prithvi was the most high octane drama we witnessed on-screen, Mahi’s wedding has just changed our opinion completely. Preeta and her family were stunned when she got married to Karan and it was completely devastating for Prithvi (Sanjay Gagnani) as he got tricked by Karan. Since Karan was aware of Prithvi’s ill intentions, he decided to take his place at the wedding to save Preeta from all the troubles.
While the whole kidnapping and groom swapping drama was too much for us to bear, we weren’t aware that Teri Meri Ikk Jindri would surpass all these incident and become more dramatic in the process. While Preeta fought for her rights to be Karan’s wife, will Jogi also fight to convince Mahi to accept him? Well, only time will answer this.
It would be interesting to see how Mahi and Jogi’s story will take a turn ahead. Watch Teri Meri Ikk Jindri on ZEE5.
