Winning Time: The Rise of The Lakers Dynasty; John C. Reilly Will Be Seen On Screen In The Upcoming Series
HollywoodJohn C. Reilly has done a lot of great movies in his entire Hollywood career, as he is back again with another series that will probably be released in March 2022
The first teaser trailer for Adam McKay’s upcoming Lakers scripted series, Winning Time: The Rise of The Lakers Dynasty, has been published by HBO, along with an official new title: Winning Time: The Rise of The Lakers Dynasty. Previously dubbed Showtime after the powerful team’s showtime era, during which they won five championships, the new title doesn’t exactly pack the same punch but may be less misleading given that it’s an HBO.
The opening of the teaser starts with dialogue that, there are two things in this world that make people believe in God, Sex And Basketball. The opening dialogue gives us the gist of the entire film as what the entire movie depicts. In the first teaser for the upcoming series Winning Time: The Rise Of The Lakers Dynasty, the Step Brothers actor John C. Reilly was entirely altered as he stepped into the shoes of former Los Angeles Lakers majority owner Jerry Buss.
The movie Winning Time is based on Jeff Pearlman’s book Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s. During the 1980s, the series covers the squad players’ professional and personal life. McKay will direct and executive produce the series, which will be written by Max Borenstein. Along with Scott Stephens and co-EP Rodney Barnes, Jim Hecht, Jason Shuman, and Kevin Messick from McKay’s production business serve as executive producers.
The series depicts the entire basketball journey of the main character. Winning Time not only introduces audiences to Quincy Isaiah as Magic Johnson, but it also marks Solomon Hughes’ debut acting performance as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Hughes has a background in basketball, having previously served as captain of the UC Berkeley team. In the famous 1980 comedy Airplane, his character’s role is briefly addressed with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it visual of him recording a scene in the movie.
