Recently, Madhumitha posted a picture of herself with coffee scrub slathered all over her face and neck. Every skin type can customise the coffee scrub to suit their skin and enjoy the pampering session. Most of these DIYs require only three ingredients and work wonders on your skin.
To make a coffee scrub best suited for oily skin, take some coffee powder, preferably coarse, and fresh yoghurt. Mix the two ingredients well and apply it on your face and neck, at least twice a week for best results. This also works great for acne-prone oily skin. While the coffee cleanses the skin, yoghurt adds some nourishment and soothes the skin.
Folks with dry skin can make a scrub out of coffee, cocoa powder, some cold milk and a spoonful of honey. The wonders of chocolate on the skin are uncountable. It is full of antioxidants and helps in repairing the skin. Milk is known for its nourishing nature which gives your skin the much-needed hydration. And, honey will make it smoother.
People with normal skin type can experiment with anything that they like. Mixing coffee with brown sugar and coconut oil has yielded great results. But one can also try switching up the coconut oil with ingredients like aloe vera gel or shea butter. Finally, the ones with sensitive skin can use coffee powder mixed, ground oats, honey, and cinnamon.
Give your face a good scrub and it will surely thank you later. Watch all the episodes of Telugu serial No 1 Kodalu on ZEE5 or read about it here.
