India’s obsession with religious shows does not need any introduction, it is one of the favourite genres on TV. And to help you fall in love with this show, let’s give you an overview of Jesus Christ’s journey.
Glory and the journey as Christ, The Redeemer
Born In Bethlehem, Jesus was a Galilean from Nazareth, a village near Sepphoris. He was born to Mary and Joseph somewhere around 6 B.C. As per the religious texts, Jesus was born during the reign of Herod the Great, who after hearing the news of his birth felt threatened and tried to kill Jesus. He ordered all of Bethlehem’s male children under age two to be killed.Â
However, Joseph was warned by an angel and took Mary and the child to Egypt until Herod’s death, whereupon he brought the family back and settled in the town of Nazareth, in Galilee. And this was how the journey of Jesus Christ began.
The first sign of Jesus’s glory and his disciples’ belief in him emerged during a wedding at Cana in Galilee. The wedding host had run out of wine and Jesus turned the water into a wine of higher quality than any served during the wedding. And as Jesus continued preaching about the kingdom of God, his following grew wider and everyone began to proclaim him as the son of David and as the Messiah.
And Jesus Christ came to be known as Christ, The Redeemer due to the glory and honour his followers had for him. A textual meaning also states that Jesus redeemed us from sin because of the hypostatic union which is the reason why he is known as a ‘Redeemer’.
And there are many such stories and wonders about Jesus Christ which you can experience through &TV’s Yeshu.
