Yeu Kashi Tashi Me Nandayla is one of the most progressive Marathi television shows. Apart from having a riveting storyline and an interesting set of characters, the show is also known for addressing many crucial subjects. 1. Body Image

This is one of the few Marathi TV shows that sheds light on issues related to body image. Sweetu, played by Anvita Phaltankar, is a plus-sized woman who often gets mocked for being fat. All the criticism makes her feel upset and it obviously affects the way she sees herself. However, with courage and determination, she tackles it and tries to love herself no matter what others say.

2. Money and happiness

Money cannot buy happiness and this show depicts that impeccably. Despite being filthy rich, the Khanvilkars hardly speak to each other. It is as if they are not even a family anymore. In pursuit of money, some of the Khanvilkars have lost the bond they shared with family and are not happy anymore.

3. Social Evils

Dowry is a social evil that unfortunately still exists in some parts of the world. Even in Yeu Kashi Tashi Me Nandayla, it is shown that in order to marry Sweetu, her family has to pay a hefty price to the groom’s family. The hardships a poor girl’s family has to go through in order to meet the demands of the groom’s family is depicted in this show.

4. Mental health

When the show’s antagonist, Malvika, was a little girl, she was deprived of her mother’s love and affection. She felt ignored as a child and when her brother was born, the feeling of ignorance further increased. She carries those unresolved childhood issues even today and they take a toll on her both mentally and emotionally.

5. Gap between rich and the poor

This show primarily revolves around two families –  one is super rich while the other is very poor. Because of their wealth, they are treated differently in society. Malvika has even told Nalu that the gap between rich and the poor can never be cemented. She keeps trying to separate the two families whereas Omkar keeps trying to bring them together.
