In Yeu Kashi Tashi Me Nandayla, Omkar Khanvilkar has fallen in love with Sweetu. He was the first one to realise when their relationship had gone past friendship and he was the first one to also realise that it was love. He confessed to her first and asked her to marry him as well! He has always been like the best son-in-law the Salvis could ever have and care for them like his own family. But Sweetu has never taken a step willingly towards Omkar, even when she has wanted to. This was because she was bound by her promise to not fall in love which she gave to her mother, Nalu.

When Sweetu rejects Omkar, in a haste, he agrees to go ahead with his engagement with Momo. But at the final moment when he holds the ring in his hand, he is unable to make Momo wear it. His heart does not allow him to get engaged to Momo so he apologises to everyone and leaves! Omkar later tells Sweetu that his engagement did not take place and Sweetu is surprised. By doing this, Omkar has made it clear that he wants to marry Sweetu and he has done everything in his power to make her understand that as well.
In the previous episode, he also spoke to Sweetu about how love and marriage only come once in life, so people should do it the right way and with the right person. He’s trying to tell Sweetu that she needs to think about her wants as her decisions could also ruin her life! While Sweetu smiles at him and holds his hand lets herself get lost in his eyes, she still works overtime to get an order ready for Malavika so she can earn twenty thousand rupees as Mohit’s mother wishes for a proper dowry.
She is worried about her father’s health, who recently collapsed in the sun. He is worried about the dowry and wants to arrange the money himself so Sweetu takes that responsibility off his shoulders. But seeing Vasant’s condition, Sweetu could talk to Nalu and Mohit and ask them to delay the marriage as Vasant is sick and needs care. More than anything, we know that Sweetu loves her family and will want her father to be healthy and happy when she gets married.

Sweetu already knows that Nalu knows about her love for Omkar. Vasant too knows but has only agreed to her marriage with Mohit because Omkar was said to be engaged. Sweetu could tell Vasant and Nalu that Omkar is not engaged. She could talk to Omkar and tell him about her feelings. She could also tell him about Nalu’s reservations about their relationship so that Omkar and Sweetu together could convince Nalu that they can be happy together.
If Sweetu does not want to break her promise by talking with Omkar directly, she could talk to Shaku and confess to Shaku about her situation. Shaku could guide her and also speak with Nalu on her behalf. Other than this, Sweetu could also seriously look at Mohit’s proposal and see how he needs a dowry (which is illegal) and tell him clearly that she will do no such thing for her marriage as she comes from a poor family. If Sweetu could just stand up to Mohit, things could take a turn for the better!
