Yours Truly Trailer: An Extraordinary Love Saga Of Soni Razdan’s Ordinary Mithi Kumar

They say no man is an island. Especially when you are 57 going on 58, at the edge of retirement, filled with despair and no hope to find the one made for you. Soni Razdan‘s character Mithi Kumar from Yours Truly is a woman in her 50s who falls in love with a…voice. She has never seen the face of it, but has created an image in her mind of the person to whom it belongs.

The trailer of Yours Truly shows Mithi on the brink of retirement from her everyday mundane government job. As she draws close to the day, she realises she will miss the voice during her daily commute the most. Attracted irresistibly to the voice of a stranger, she forms a deep connection with him as she stops by to hear every word he utters, amid the everyday hullabaloo at the railway station. Yes, a station because the voice is of a railway station announcer. He is invisible yet omnipresent.

Mithi goes to work every day hoping she’d find the person behind the voice. His voice stirs up emotion in her, so much so, that she starts relating it as though his words are speaking directly to her. She even writes to him, expressing her deepest desires and heartfelt emotions to a stranger. As retirement nears, an anxious Mithi starts a desperate search for an imagined soulmate. But is he for real? Will she ever find him?

Yours Truly, an Indian romantic drama film, is directed by Sanjoy Nag. The movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aahana Kumra and has Mahesh Bhatt in a special appearance. Notably, this is real life couple Soni and Mahesh’s first film together. The flick is an official adaptation of one of the stories (The One That Was Announced) from the book LOVE STORIES #1 TO 14 authored by Annie Zaidi.
