Zee Cine Awards Tamil 2020: Dhanush, Samantha, Nayanthara Take Home The Coveted Trophy!

The first edition of Zee Cine Awards Tamil 2020 took place earlier this month. The awards show saw some of the biggest stalwarts in the industry starting from Ulaganayakan Kamal Haasan to lady superstar Nayanthara. Other big names include Vijay Sethupathi, Dhanush, Samantha Akkineni, Ramya Krishnan, Aishwarya Rajesh, AR Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal and more. The event was certainly a success, not just due to celebrity footfalls, but also thanks to some amazing performances!

At the awards ceremony, some of the talented celebrities turned showstoppers as they took to the stage, to perform on hit songs. Actress Rakul Preet Singh chose Deepika Padukone’s famous Hindi song Nagade Sang from Goliyon Ki Raasleela… Ram Leela, for her act. Needless to say, the diva was a revelation! However, she was in for some competition as many other actresses too, cast their spell on the audience with their vibrant acts. Check it out below.

Junga actress Sayyeshaa grooved to Prabhudeva’s hit 2018 song Guleba using hip-hop moves and freestyle dance. The audience loved her and cheered for her with gusto! Singer Shreya Ghoshal, who won Best Playback Singer for NGK movie’s song Anbe Peranbe, took to the stage to croon tunes of her hit Sillunu Oru Kaadhal track, Munbe Vaa. Shruti Haasan also impressed the audience with her singing and dancing skills. For her act, she chose Yelelamma from 7aum Arivu and left the crowd screaming for an encore!

Aside from all the fanfare that occupied the Zee Cine Awards Tamil 2020 stage, some fun moments also took place. While Yogi Babu hit on Nayanthara, using his famous quote from their film Kolamavu Kokila and host Archana Chandhoke received a bear hug from actor Kamal Haasan. One of the best moments was when music composer A.R Rahman took to the stage to receive his award which was presented by industry composers, Yuvan Shankar Raj, GV Prakash, Anirudh Ravichander and Imman.
