Karthik Raj and Shabana Shajahan-starrer Sembaruthi, is one of the most popular shows currently airing on Zee Tamil and streaming exclusively on ZEE5. The show has been ruling audiences’ hearts for the past three years and it still continues to do so, owing to its gripping plot, affable characters, and interesting twists and turns. The TRP reports too are proof of the show’s demand and reach. Yes, you read that right! According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council, India (BARC),  Sembaruthi garnered 10265 million impressions. thus placing it squarely in first position among the top five TV shows. And, going by the current plot, it seems like the show is in no mood to be dethroned from its lofty peaks any time soon.

Ever since Sembaruthi went on air, Parvathy and Aditya have become one of the most loved couples on Indian television. Parvathy’s cuteness and Aditya’s attractive looks make the two of them a wonderful jodi on-screen. Powerful Performances

Karthik and Shabana are just the right fit for their roles as Aditya and Parvathy. Their performances on the show are not only relatable but also natural and you surely can connect with them. Also, the supporting cast is extremely commendable, especially the acting done by Priya Raman (who plays the role of Akhilandeshwari) and Sree Lakshmi ( Vanaja) Even Nandini, Purushotaman, and others are doing a fabulous job.

Her multiple attempts to make Parvathy’s life difficult and the epic manner in which all her plans invariably fail adds much comic relief to this drama. The manner in which she refers to Purushottaman as James Bond is hilarious. And actress Sree Lakshmi plays the part to perfection. In fact, some months ago, when Sree Lakshmi put out a post asking for people to write one line about her, she got response from hundreds of fans, many of whom called her the queen of expressions.

Sembaruthi knows how to keep its audiences hooked with its numerous twists and turns. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to make their show interesting with an intriguing storyline. Clearly, this is why the show has been garnering good TRPs and reviews for its current plot.

Sembaruthi is a complete family drama and is meant for all age groups. Also, Parvathy and Adi’s love story is not the only thing that one may look forward to in Sembaruthi. Talking about the latest plot of the show, Aditya and Parvathy come home after the latter’s discharge from hospital. While Adi decides to leave the house in order to avoid more drama regarding their marriage, Parvathy talks him out of it as she feels that they must give this another try to convince Akhilandeshwari to accept them and the marriage. Even Adi later agrees to it as he says that they shall not leave voluntarily but would go, if his mother asks them to leave.
