Mentalhood Gets A Phenomenal 9.3 Rating On IMDb, Critics And Audience Give A Big Thumbs Up

ZEE5 original series Mentalhood is all set to entertain audiences with its unique and strong storyline. The web show released on ZEE5 on 11 March 2020. Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor makes her comeback in the digital show as Meira Sharma, who has the responsibility of three kids. Mentalhood highlights the various aspects of motherhood, and acknowledges a mother’s efforts behind raising her kids. The show even deals with some sensitive topics including abuse, child molestation, and bullying. Mentalhood has received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike.

IMDB gave Mentalhood 9.3 stars out of 10 and said, ‘The rules of parenting have changed. Every mother has her own strategy and some have their own game, with only one aim – to be the best of the best. Step into this #Mentalhood.’ Firstpost described the series as ‘Mentalhood is certainly one of the better shows to come out of ALTBalaji.’ Hindustan Times says that, ‘Mentalhood highlights the case of absentee parents who have gifts to lavish on their kids but no time. The makers can also take a bow for showing possibly the right way to break the news to adopted or surrogate kids.’

MissMalini.com gave thumps up to Mentalhood and called it a light-hearted show with a good heart that you will love to binge on. ‘Mentalhood episodes presented a concern that the mothers face with their children and family, and it turns out to be an engaging watch because of the humorous yet sensitively written script’. The website even spoke about the sensitive topics that were handled with a lot of care in the series. ‘From bullying to gender identities and sexual abuse, they cover a lot of different concerns that are such important elements of parenting in today’s time.’

The Indian Express made special mention of the actors’ performances in the series and said, ‘Mentalhood remains a show that gives lessons on good parenting’.
