The AndTV show Santoshi Maa Sunayein Vrat Kathayein is the religious story of Swati, essayed by Tanvi Dogra. She is an ardent devotee of Santoshi Maa, played by Gracy Singh. Speaking about the importance of fasting, Swati worships the goddess. Polomi Devi is her antithesis and leaves no stoned unturned to execute her evil plans. On the other hand, Swati has married Indresh and believes in the power of love. With strength and endurance, Swati faces many villains and takes them on, one by one! Being a devotee of Santoshi Maa, Swati unknowingly keeps doing things that make Polomi Devi off angry. The latter is a goddess that resides in swarg-lok with Narad Muni and Santoshi Maa, but is extremely jealous of her. To snatch her power, Polomi Devi keeps filling Swati’s life with obstacles and creates trouble in her and Indresh’s marriage. But Swati, with her silent strength and inherent kindness, keeps going on!

Indresh’s father Singhasan Singh is against Swati and Indresh’s marriage. He accuses Swati of putting a spell on his son and taking him away. Singhasan had even put Swati’s parents in jail. But Swati, while respecting her father-in-law, stands up for the truth. She endures all the hurt that Singhasan causes her, with courage!

Swati has married the love of her life Indresh, who has a brother and a sister-in-law, Lovely Singh. She is a product of the herd-tendency and hates Swati because everyone in her family does so! Recently, she plotted to electrocute Swati by leaving a live wire in a bucket of water. Her trick backfired, but Swati took responsibility for the same and handled the situation maturely.

Indresh’s brother Abhay follows suit. He is his father Singhasan Singh’s puppet. On his orders, Abhay had sent goons to kill Swati and Indresh when they had left the house. But Swati hugged Indresh and saved themselves with the help of Santoshi Maa.

Rinki is Indresh’s sister. She is jealous of Swati because she thinks that the latter has snatched her brother from her. Rinki, along with Lovely, had conspired to disrupt Swati’s fast for Santoshi Maa, by adulterating the prasad. But Swati, with her wit and might, busted them and completed her fast.
