New ZEE5 original Bhoot Purva is a horror comedy series set against a middle-class family background. It also involves a lovestruck ghost and a quirky Yamraj, the Lord of Death. The web show is also a romantic comedy narrating the story of Aarav, who ends up dead because of an ever-busy Yamraj and is sent to Earth to win over his ladylove Angelina with the help of a boy named Purva. With such a wide range of characters, the world of Bhoot Purva is a fun place with a lot of madness.

Bhoot Purva boasts of a stellar cast including Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 actor Omkar Kapoor, Bhaag Johnny actress Zoa Morani, Rishab Chadha of Drishyam fame, veteran actress Jayati Bhatia and others. With such powerhouse performers giving their brilliant best, it is only likely that the series is a fantastic turnout!

One major highlight of Bhoot Purva is Baba Sehgal‘s role of Yamraj. Dressed in black shorts, a t-shirt with a bling jacket, the rapper makes for quite a quirky addition. He is a wacky personality, with headphones attached to his horns and follows all the new age internet trends. Watch out for his selfie-taking Yamraj act packed with giggles and laughs!

Zeishan Quadri, the man behind the cult Bollywood crime genre films Gangs of Wasseypur and Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2, has written Bhoot Purva. Having belted out some of the great movies the industry has ever seen, Zeishan tries his hand in the horror comedy space in a first. With such an impressive portfolio, we are sure Bhoot Purva would be a gem too!
