Uncovering secrets, lies and crimes is never an easy task, but it makes for good entertainment. The more people involved or related to the crime, the harder it gets to find out the truth. These ZEE5 original series show just how difficult it can be to investigate a crime, and how many other secrets are exposed and scandals are created before the truth is finally revealed.

REJCTX is a high-school thriller for millennials, but the problems they get into are relatable to everyone. This first season tells the story of seven students, who form a hip-hop group. However, their lives are thrown into disarray when one of them is kidnapped. While they investigate his disappearance, everyone becomes a suspect. This opens a can of shocking secrets in the school, and ends in a murder.

This series starring Jennifer Winget, Rajat Kapoor and Tanuj Virwani is full of shocking revelations. Major Monica Mehra is elected to investigate the death of an army officer, killed during a military operation. During her investigation she finds resistance from her suspects, because they try to protect their own secrets. The final truth she uncovers, turns out to be much more sinister than she ever imagines. Watch the highly acclaimed series Code M, streaming on ZEE5.

The Chargesheet: Innocent Or Guilty, investigated the murder of national level table tennis champion Shiraz Malik. The CBI decides to investigate the case where the prime suspects are Shiraz’s wife, Antara and Ranveer Pratap Singh, who was like a brother to him. The story becomes a scandal when it is revealed Ranveer and Antara were having an affair. A CBI officer tries to prove Ranveer is guilty, but Ranveer is himself a powerful politician who is out to prove his innocence at any cost.

The Verdict: State Vs Nanavati,is a retelling of the incidents behind the KM Nanavati case in the 1950s. This series is a scandal in the truest sense, because it was the story of one woman, who cheated on her husband that caught the entire nation’s attention. This became a sensational case, where different communities tried to prove their dominance in society, by winning this case in court.

In Ishq Aaj Kal, Alia Jaffri is trying to find the truth behind her mother’s murder. She doesn’t believe her father is guilty even though he has been in jail for the crime since childhood. She takes up a hotel job in Mumbai to be closer to her father, and investigate the crime. However, the people at the hotel seem to already know about her father, and have their own secrets to hide from her. Alia follows a dangerous path by herself, because she cannot trust anyone, including those close to her.
