Sau Shashi Deodhar actress Sai Tamhankar broke convention when she became he first Marathi actress to sport a bikini. The actress wore a two piece for her film No Entry and soon her bold move became the talk of the town.

Casting couch is a bane in the entertainment industry which many actresses don’t like to talk about. But Sai is an exception as in an interview, she openly spoke about the time when she was asked to sleep with the film’s director and producer.

“I had got a call many years ago which said, “ Ok there is this project and you have to sleep with the producer and the director, generally it’s the producer, director, and hero, but since it’s only you in the film, so it’s just the producer and director”. I took a dramatic pause after listening to all this and then I told him, ‘ Why don’t you send your mother?,” she told a popular news website.

Though Sai is an established  Marathi actress, it was her daring role in Hindi film Hunterrr that got her recognition in Bollywood. The beauty played a seductress and had a lot of bold scenes, that she pulled off like a boss.

The #MeToo movement took the nation by a storm where a lot of entertainment actresses spoke up about the sexual abuse that they had faced at the hands of famous producers, actors and directors. Some names that cropped up included Nana Patekar and Alok Nath. Sai stood up for the victims and called out Alok in a tweet where she told him to ‘rot in hell.’ She even called out Nana and said that a strict action should be taken against him.

A lot of Marathi actresses prefer to keep it safe when it comes to fashion choices. But Sai breaks convention with her quirky style and manages to rock every look. She likes to experiment with various outfits and keeps it refreshing.
