The night of awkward firsts

The brand new ZEE5 Original, Three Half Bottles, is an urban drama and is full of relatable moments. The story revolves around three bachelors, who live together and come from different walks of life. The show explores their personality in-depth, their conflicts and the journey to their resolutions. You might find yourself relating to one character or relating to bits and pieces of each character. Here, we have picked out the few scenes that really resonated with us.

After many years of secretly looking at her, Nikhil gets to spend time with Neha. He is sober and has taken the responsibility to look after the girl. They find their spot on the stairs and talk the night away. It’s all sorts of cliche, romantic, awkward and memorable. We’re sure this brought back some sweet memories!

The half-baked decisions

Priya decides to meet Aditya to call their relationship off. Aditya, too, tries hard to gather guts to put an end to them. However, when they finally meet, the tables turn around. Do you remember the endless ‘last chances’ you gave to your S.O?

Moving away from familiarity

Soon after ‘the talk’, Priya decides to move to another city to pursue her career that she had always dreamt of. Packing her stuff and boxing them end up bringing back many memories. We can all agree that moving away from familiarity, schools or cities, is always a tough job.

Reading between the lines

One night, Priya meets Aditya and explains too many things at once. While Aditya tries to decipher their conversation, Popz walks in to make things easier (read worse). Although languages were made to make communication simpler, we often tend to complicate it.

The ego clashes

Sirish’s cousin comes to meet him, after the bitter fight they had. Sirish tries to let go of the bad memories and opens up to the new warmth. However, as soon as his cousin talks about helping him out financially, Sirish loses his calm again. Since time, egos have given birth to more problems than anything else. But seldom do we learn from our mistakes.

Making mends and making it worse

When the three flatmates start noticing that they are all falling apart, internally and otherwise, Sirish tries to lay out a plan that would fix things. But what he forgets is the fact that people aren’t puppets and sometimes, the solution is emotional support, not mathematical theory.

You think you know, but you don’t

When Aditya fails to comprehend anything at all, he goes to his mother. As he blurts out the thoughts in his head, she helps him assemble and read. That’s when Aditya learns that you do not always want the things that you think you do.

Hard-hitting and real, Three Half Bottles is a show based on the true events from all of our lives. Watch it here. Or check out the nostalgic college-drama, B Tech on ZEE5.
