Nanna Koochi

While dealing with the lockdown and self-quarantine may seem like too much, let’s look at the brighter side. This is exactly that time we always asked for. Its time to watch and read every piece of content that had been piling up on our to-do list. If you’re looking for some laughter to wear off the stresses of our current times, we have not one or two, but eight amazing suggestions.

Our first suggestion is Niharika Konidela and Naga Babu starrer ZEE5 Original mini-series named Nanna Koochi. The show is about a father-daughter who find themselves too much in love with each other, but also are tired of each other. One tries to bring a significant other into the other person’s life, while the other tries to dismiss everyone who creeps up around them. How will they find a middle ground?

Dhrusti

Dhrusti is a ZEE5 Original film directed by debutante director Ram Abbaraju. While the film is mainly a promising thriller, it also takes a light dive into comedy. And this experiment works extremely well for the director, and for us. Starring Vennela Kishore and Rahul Ravindran in the lead roles, you should totally watch it.

Shukaranu: Hui Emotion Ki Nasbandi

On the note of ZEE5 Original films, Divyenndu Sharma led Shukranu is another film that will leave you with many thoughts and laughter, of course. Director Bishnu Dev Halder’s film shows the brutal side of forced sterilisations & softens it with a unique love triangle.

Mrs Subbalakshmi

Lakshmi Manchu‘s Mrs Subbalakshmi is a comedy of errors sets the laughter ball rolling, instantly. Subbakshmi’s life outside the house is no less than a rollercoaster ride. As she witnesses several adventures, you are sure to find yourself laughing and biting your nails in curiosity.

Three Half Bottles

Three Half Bottles is based in the hi-tech city of Hyderabad, and follows the lives of three bachelors. They are young and charming but struggle at ‘adulting’. From blissfully ignoring problems and making mistakes to facing them head-on and finding their path, this coming-of-age drama show keeps you hooked with its highly relatable problems and interesting solutions.

Amrutham Dhivitheeyam

The most-loved and cherished sitcom in Telugu, Amrutham, is all set to be bigger and better with Amrutham Dhvitheeyam. It stars Harsha Vardhan and LB Sriram in the lead roles, as Amrutham and Anji. Amrutha Vilas is now a bigger business venture and our two leading men have financiers and a fancy fine-dine to make all the money they wish for. But will they succeed in at least this time?

Badnaam Gali

Badnaam Gali led by Bollywood actor Patralekha and also features Divyenndu. It is a story revolving around an unmarried-pregnant woman dabbling between surrogacy and humanity. This is a true blue one-off holiday special show all modern families can sit and enjoy.

Muddapappu Avakai

Since we started with the Konidela princess, we finish off our list with Niharika‘s Muddapappu Avakai which also features Zee Telugu show Ninne Pelladatha‘s hero, Prathap. This one is a light-hearted romantic-comedy made for people of all ages.
