Karan Kumar and the Punjabi TV show Aajo Jinhe Khedna has given us the gift of going back to those good old days where outdoor games were an internal part of our lives. After Rumaal Chukna and Langdi Laat, we got you a recap of a game that is still best remembered for its uniqueness – Bante aka marbles. Scroll down to read on:

Mohali’s Guru Har Rai Colony put up a very interesting competition as Haddipa Gang against Diler Fighters. After an interesting game of Rumaal Chukna, the scores were 10 for Diler and 30 for Haddipa. The rules of Bante are simple, one player will aim at the marbles set by the opponent team member. If the player hits the targeted marble, the team gets a point. Diler fighters tried their level best to score more than Haddipa but they failed to score a single point at Bante. Haddipa members thought it will be an easy game to win but were put under pressure by Diler and earned no points from Bante. Thus, the points of both teams remained the same.

2. Ludhiana gives a tough fight

The residents of Bhammipura impressed Karan with their wit and humour. Sher-E-Punjab and Punjabi Soorme put up an entertaining game. After the card game, both teams were drawn at 20 points. Now Bante would be the decider of the winning team, thus both teams were under lots of tension. Punjabi Soorme continued to under-perform and scored zero in Bante. However, the second player of Sher-E-Punjab hit the targeted marble and they ended up winning the round and the lead with 25 points.

3. The neck-to-neck fight of Jalandhar

The residents of pind Jamshed Khas were asked riddles by Karan and they were quick to answer them all. Later, Haddipa Gang and Punjabi Warriors fought it out with excitement and sheer determination. Punjabi Warriors scored five points at the start of Bante and they made it tough for the opposition as they ended up earning 10 points. Haddipa Gang were under pressure and managed to score only five points, and thus Punjabi Warriors won the game.

4. The hoshiari of Hoshiarpur

Punjabi Blasters and Mast Khidaari of the Hoshiarpur village, Chhabelwal, began the face-off with Bante. Punjabi Blasters showed immense energy and by the end of the round, they scored five points. Mast Khidari also showed great power and they also managed to earn five points, making it a tie with Punjabi Warriors.

5. The focus of Phagwara's college students

Phagwara’s Pyramid College students proved their sportiness by making it an interesting, nail-biting competition of Bante. Ghaint Punjabi and Rangeela Group faced each other with all the josh and excitement. Ghaint Punjabi performed really well and scored five points. However, Rangeela Group couldn’t bear the pressure and thus they ended scoring zero and making Ghaint Punjabi the winner of the game.
