Alo Chhaya Makes A Grand Comeback! Find Out Why Alo Fears For Chhaya In This New Episode

After a hiatus of almost three months due to the nationwide lockdown, the popular Zee Bangla serial Alo Chhaya graces our screens again! We take a look at all that has happened in the the newest episode of the show after a prolonged gap, and tell you what’s going on. Find out more below!

Post lockdown, Alo Chhaya opens with Chhaya (played by Oindrila Bose) crying out in terror for Alo to rescue her. Trapped in a dark basement, Chhaya hears footsteps approaching, and panics even more. A man with the lower part of his face hidden by a cloth wrapped around it, appears. As he reveals himself to her, Chhaya whimpers in fright. We see Baban smiling at her creepily and threatening to kill her. Suddenly, Alo (played by Debadrita Basu) wakes up with a start in her bed. She had been having a nightmare, which was Chhaya’s eerie encounter with Baban.

Alo drinks some water and recovers from her horrible dream. Later, Akash (played by Arnab Banerjee) enters the room and starts teasing Alo for how much she had been sleeping. He also reminds her that she is in the 14th day of her home quarantine, and that she has the third floor all to herself. Akash laughingly tells his wife that if a ghost haunts her, she will be all by herself! Alo and Akash start squabbling until Mejo Boudi enters the room. She sides with Akash and says that Alo has been very irresponsible by mingling with the residents of a slum. Mejo Boudi rolls her eyes at Alo’s ‘nyakami’ and Alo is mortified. She apologises and says that she had not meant to harm her family, but had just wanted to help out the slum dwellers with food, necessities and moral support. She had taken all the safety precautions including wearing a mask, gloves and sanitising herself thoroughly as well as going into quarantine in one room of the house.

After, this, Akash’s sister enters the room with food for Alo, and tells her that she needs to eat sufficiently in order to keep up her strength. Akash insists that Alo take her temperature immediately, and produces a thermometer from his pocket. Akash’s sister says that they cannot be trusted to be in the same room because of their constant bickering and sends Akash downstairs and tells Alo to eat her food.

After the rest leave, Alo thinks about the nightmare she has had, which has shaken her. She wonders why she had it, and shudders at the image of Baban threatening Chhaya. She remembers how she had heard Baban talk on the phone previously, mysteriously telling someone that a piece of information must not reach Alo’s ears. We see flashbacks from the past. On Holi, she remembers an inebriated Chhaya rebuking her for not spending any time with her at the house while she was there. Baban had asked for her permission to let Chhaya stay overnight, and Alo had put her down and said absolutely not. Alo also recalls the fight that she had with Chhaya in her room after this. Alo had been shocked to see Chhaya act intoxicated, and demanded to know who has given her alcohol. Chhaya had defended herself by reminding her that she is an adult, and can choose to drink if she pleases.

Alone in her room now, Alo fears for Chhaya’s safety and hopes that she has stopped meeting Baban. She feels helpless at not being able to check on her, and decides to give her a call. Meanwhile, we see Chhaya pacing about in her own room in a frenzy, hyperventilating that she cannot take it more. She is looking for her medicines which she cannot find, when suddenly, her mobile phone starts ringing.
