Father’s Day Special: 5 Delicious Dishes From Rannaghar To Prepare For Your Dad

1. Keema Bhuna

For this Father’s Day 2020, we got you some special dishes from Rannaghar, the popular cookery show on ZEE5, that your dad is sure to love! Put on your apron and get ready to whip up these delicious preparations using the following recipes, and watch his face light up at the table. Have a happy Father’s Day!

To make Keema Bhuna, first heat some refined oil in a pan and add minced ginger, garlic and chicken, chopped capsicum, green chilli paste, salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and cook till reduced. Then, add fried onions, garam masala powder, a squeeze of lime, sugar to taste, and stir together till the chicken is cooked through. In a mixing bowl, break two eggs and add salt, turmeric powder, baking soda, chopped chillies, onions, and mix well. Coat quarters of pre-fried parathas in this mixture and fry. Then, heap a helping of the chicken preparation on to each, and serve hot.

2. Moog Shojner Tawk

In a mixing bowl, add some moong lentil paste, roasted cumin seeds, baking soda, salt, sugar and mix thoroughly. Form little balls with a bit of this mixture and fry in refined oil. Keep aside. In a pan, heat some panch phoron, two whole dried chillies, steamed shojne danta, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, sugar, water, the raw moong batter, tamarind juice, salt, sugar and stir. Add the fried moong balls to it, and ladle the preparation into a dish. Eat with steaming rice.

3. Phulkoli Chingri

To make Phulkoli Chingri, first sprinkle turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt on some prawns and mix well. In a bowl, take some besan, salt, red chilli powder, water and mix. Coat the marinated prawns in this batter and fry. Take out the prawns and keep aside. In the same oil, add chopped spring onions, chopped onion, salt, chopped chillies, julienned ginger, tomato sauce, sugar, chilli sauce, soy sauce, and cook together. Add a bit of water and reduce the gravy. Add the fried prawns, toss together, and take off the flame. Yum!

4. Safed Bhetki

To make this delicious Safed Bhetki, fry whole, dry chillies in refined oil in a pan and add whipped plain yoghurt, cashew nut paste, poppy seed and ginger paste, and a bit of water. Mix well and add salt to taste, sugar and ground pepper, and the gravy is ready. To make the bhetki, add chopped garlic, the gravy, salt and pieces of fried bhetki to some refined oil, and stir well. Serve hot!

5. Narkel Kheerer Chop

To make Narkel Kheerer Chop, take some flour and add grated coconut, cardamom powder, sugar, rice flour, and knead well with some water. Shape the dough into little hollowed-out bowls. In some chopped almonds, pistachios and cashew nuts, put in condensed milk and grated khoya kheer, and mix well. Stuff this mixture into the bowls and fry them in oil. Take them out and soak them in a dish full of nolen gur. Drizzle with condensed milk and grated khoya kheer, then garnish with crushed almonds and pistachios. Serve this delicious sweet treat as dessert, for the best kind of ending to a wonderful meal!
