The year 2019 was quite eventful in terms of plot twists and episodes of TV serials on ZEE5. The year started with the protagonists being a certain way, mostly demure, shy and powerless. However, as the year progressed, there have been some impeccable twists in the stories that have brought about massive changes in the personalities and even the lives of the TV characters. Right from the exit of Swetha from Yaaradi Nee Mohini to Sathya getting married to Prabhu, these changes have only resulted in the plot becoming more interesting, if anything!

With that, we present to you, the five highlights that took place in Zee Tamil serials in 2019.

Sathya’s marriage

After Divya got kidnapped on the day of her wedding, her fiance Prabhu, caving to his father’s sentiments, reluctantly agreed to tie the knot with Sathya instead. It did come as a shock to see Sathya in a wedding saree as she got hitched with Prabhu. Irrespective, a milestone! And the story has only got more interesting ever since, given that Sathya makes for a very unconventional wife.

Parvathy’s transformation

Parvathy’s character has seen some serious transition this year. From being a demure and timid cook in Akhila’s house to becoming a strong-willed and confident goodwill ambassador at her company, Parvathy’s personality certainly underwent a major transformation. Much of the credit, of course, goes to Adithya for encouraging her to aim higher.

Swetha’s disappearance

Neelambari is still in the hopes that Swetha will return after suddenly vanishing from Muthurasan and Vennila’s life. However, she probably doesn’t know that Swetha got murdered! One of the biggest highlights of Yaaradi Nee Mohini was when Muthurasan’s best friend Annamalai shot Swetha after kidnapping her. With this, he managed to remove one obstacle from his best friend’s life.

Vennila’s marriage

Vennila’s marriage with Muthurasan wasn’t technically a shock as it was in the offing. However, the circumstances under which they tied the knot was rather interesting, With Swetha out of the way, Muthurasan agreed to marry Vennila, but only reluctantly. It was and still is a big deal for Vennila as she never expected to marry the love of her life.

Pragya’s return with Abhi’s daughter

After being asked to leave the house by Abhi, Pragya once again returned in his life, this time with their daughter, Kiara. Although Abhi still doesn’t know that Kiara is his daughter, the father and daughter duo have formed a beautiful bond. Disha, Purab and even Aaliya and Tanu know this and are figuring ways to handle the situation.
