Here Are The Outstanding Comedians Who Were Honoured At The Comedy Awards 2020

Comedy Awards 2020, as the name suggests, is an event that was held to recognise a genre that has not been given as much importance as it deserves—Comedy. Throughout the years of cinema, a comic relief has always been the unrecognised highlight of the film. However, Zee Kannada has now organised an award show that will pick out these outstanding talents, who have brought laughter to viewers with their intelligent comedy, and light moments.

Here are those talents who were recognised for their utmost dedication to the genre!

Actor Prem Kumar awarded Mandya Ramesh with ‘Best Comedy Supporting Role In Male’ trophy, while the very talented Tara was awarded ‘Best Comedy Supporting Role In Female. ‘

Sathish handed over the Best Heroine In Comedy’ award to Aditi Prabhudeva. The other nominees included Sonal Monteiro and Haripriya.

Rishabh Shetty won the ‘Best Hero In A Comic Role’. Superstar Duniya Vijay handed over the trophy to him. Rishabh also thanked Jaggesh for being a source of inspiration to him, and dedicated this award to him.

Danappa from Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3 evoked laughter, while having a light moment with Rishabh.

Jaggesh was also paid a tribute for his contribution to the comedy industry, and awarded for the same.

A very special moment involved Sadhu Kokila who won the ‘Best Comedian of 2020,’ that was given to him by the very renowned S. Narayan.

Talent must be appreciated where deserved, whether it is a comedian who has worked for 5 days, or 50 years. On this note, the ‘Best Upcoming Comedian Male, was awarded to Shivaraj and Aparna. This was handed over by director Sunil Kumar Desai, and Harshika Poonacha

Yogaraj Bhat was awarded for the ‘Best Comedy Song,’ too!
