Here’s Why Nivedita Saraf As Asawari In Agga Bai Sasubai Reminds Us Of Her Role In Maza Chakula
BollywoodRead on to find out why we think that the motherly side of the Agga Bai Sasubai actress is similar to her work in the film Maza Chakula.
Agga Bai Sasubai has piqued our curiosity with the interesting twists that have kept us on our toes. Aside from the engaging story, the show also boasts of having some talented actors in its star cast. One such name that has stood out amongst others is Nivedita Saraf aka Asawari. The veteran actress has had a successful run in the industry and has appeared in several films during the course of her career. Her recent stint in Zee Marathi’s Agga Bai Sasubai has also been rewarded with love from fans. Nivedita has added life to the role of Asawari and has made the character a memorable one. This role of hers certainly reminds us of the actress’s work in the film Maza Chakula which released in 1994. Keep scrolling to find out why we think so!
Check out the latest episode of Nivedita’s show here.
We have seen Nivedita’s sensitive side as Asawari in the show. Her character is shown to be a doting mother to Soham (Ashutosh Patki) whom she deeply adores. Asawari is naive in nature and Soham takes advantage of this quality to spark trouble. Asawari loves pampering Soham who is her only child and does things that only a mother would. Whenever Soham finds himself in a crisis situation, Asawari leaves everything behind to rescue her child. In Maza Chakula, the actress played Yashodha who possesses similar (s)motherly shades. Yashodha’s son Adi (Adinath Kothare) is the troublesome kid on the block who gets her into trouble more often than not. Despite his troublesome nature, Yashodha is committed to making her son get all the happiness that he deserves.

Can you spot the differences between these two roles of Nivedita? There’s absolutely none that can be pointed out! Both the characters have been popularised by the actress, but the only thing that stands out is the motherly love overpowering everything. We also noticed that the actress never got out of her skin of Yashodha and is now putting it to use in Agga Bai Sasubai as Asawari. Nonetheless, we love every bit of her acting in both these iconic roles!
