ZEE5 original Marathi series Kaale Dhande features Mahesh Manjrekar (Anna Bhai), Neha Khan (Swapnali) and Shubhankar Tawade (Vicky) in lead roles. It tells the story of a budding photographer Vicky, who gets involved with a mafia gang, due to certain circumstances. Mahesh plays don Anna, and given the actor’s craft and experience, he naturally kills it with his role! We look at his 5 best scenes from the series starting with this introductory one.

We get introduced to Anna Bhai here and Mahesh is hilarious with his swag and impeccable comic timing. He simply livens up the entire series with his effortless acting and you’re assured, you’re in for a ride with Anna Bhai.

Anna becomes aware of Vicky’s fling with his daughter Swapnali and all hell breaks loose. The calm and composed Anna loses it and starts acting mad. He threatens Vicky and his gang by saying that he will “damage their fully-functioning reproductive parts.” Lol! Don’t miss this scene for the hilarious dialogues.

Anna Bhai hosts a party to announce Vicky’s engagement to his daughter Swapnali. During his speech, Anna flaunts his English which is so bad that it’s good. Watch Mahesh’s rib-tickling act as he uses some English terms, that you might have never heard before!

During the engagement party, Anna Bhai joins Vicky on the dance floor, much to the latter’s horror. You can’t not see Mahesh’s killer dance moves here.

This is Mahesh’s best scene from the series where he meets Vicky’s father, to discuss his and Swapnali’s marriage. This scene will leave you in splits as Anna Bhai tries his best to not come across as a don, but fails miserably.
