Kahat Hanuman Jai Shree Ram: Bali, Sugreev Or Hanuman – Who Would Make A Royal Vanar King?

Kahat Hanuman Jai Shree Ram is one of the most-watched shows on &Tv courtesy the story that revolves around the popular deity Hanuman. The show began with the birth of Maruti. Anjani worships Lord Shiva and Hanuman is the boon that she receives. Maruti is destined to help Lord Rama in fulfilling his destiny of killing Ravana. But during his childhood, Maruti is very curious and notorious. As Maruti is blessed with special powers during his birth, the Vanar king and son of Indra, Bali fears Maruti and his wrath. He feels that he should kill Maruti before he grows up to kill him.

Bali is a mighty king. He looks after the vanars and tries his best to take care of them. But Bali is an egoistic king and his vices take over his virtues. In his bid to find and kill Maruti throughout Maruti’s growing years, Bali overlooks the needs of his subjects. He forgets that he is a mighty king and tries to kill Maruti in Anjani’s womb! Bali is later killed by Shree Ram and Sugreev is crowned as the king of vanars.

Bali’s brother and the son of Surya, Sugreev is a talented and righteous person. He is tortured and banished by Bali as the latter feels that his brother has betrayed him. Bali and Sugreev go on a quest to kill a demon. Bali enters the demon’s cave while Sugreev waits upon him. But after hearing loud wails and blood oozing out of the cave, Sugreev closes the mouth of the cave with a boulder and returns to his kingdom. He is declared the king as soon as the subjects find out Bali is dead. But Bali returns and sends Sugreev away. Sugreev meets Shree Ram and returns to avenge his banishment.

Hanuman helps Sugreev win by placing a garland around his neck. Hanuman also helps Ram win the battle against Raavan. He saves Lakshman’s life. He helps everyone and yet does not receive the kingship. Hanuman deserves to be a king as he would then be a just ruler of the vanars. Although Sugreev is good, Hanuman is better skilled at warfare and strategy. He is also kindhearted.
