The popular director says that street musicians should be valued as much as other artistes as they are equally skilled. More details inside!

Zee Marathi’s popular chat show Kanala Khada, hosted by Sanjay Mone, gives fans a chance to get to know their favourite stars better. Each week, we see the who’s who of Marathi cinema getting candid on the show. Last week it was Mulshi Pattern director Pravin Tarde, and in the upcoming week, Ravi Jadhav will take center stage. The popular director, who is best known for his film Natrang, will make an appearance. The latest promo shows Ravi talking about the importance of valuing street musicians.

In the video below, you can see the director talking about the time when he stopped by a wedding and saw some street musicians playing the Banjo. He adds that we use these musicians for our own purposes and forget about them. Ravi further talks about how they need to be valued more as they are equally skilled like other professional artistes. Ravi directed a film named Banjo in 2016 and talks about how he drew inspiration from a musician playing the instrument, at the wedding he visited. He says that it’s a beautiful instrument that needs recognition. Isn’t that amazing?
