With so many different personalities and roles, we get to see different types of mothers on various shows that run across the genres of comedy, biography, historical, devotional, romance and so on. Mothers are the ones who bind families together. So, let’s have a look at all the moms with their unique traits and qualities:

On the most popular comedy daily-soap Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain!, Vibhuti Narayan Mishra’s mother is Helen. Hands down, she deserves the award of the ‘world’s most hilarious mom’. Like mother like son; while Vibhuti keeps flirting with Angoori bhabi, Helen had a love affair with Angoori’s father Bhoorey Lal. It is fun to listen to her witty taunts for Vibhuti’s wife, Anita Mishra.
Rajesh Singh aka Rajjo is the sassiest mom ever. Happu Ki Ultan Paltan portrays her as the mother of nine children. She shares an amazing bitter-sweet bond her mother-in-law, Katori amma. Rajjo never fails to be bold and upfront when Happu needs a reality check or reprimanding. Her children, Kat, Malaika, Hrithik and Chamchi call her their sarcastic and daredevil mother.
Bhima Bai hails from a poor, lower-caste family in the biographical docudrama series, Ek Mahanayak – Dr B. R. Ambedkar. She is the mother of 14 children, who are survived by five. She carries a pure heart and worries about providing her family with happiness and selflessness. She hides her fatal illness from her family because she is concerned about the expenditure for the treatment.
Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri Ram depicts Anjani Devi as the mother of Maruti (young Hanuman). She is an apsara who entered into vaanari after marrying Maharaj Kesari. She is extremely protective of her son and doesn’t allow him to go anywhere informing her. Whenever Maruti is in danger, she senses it in her conscious mind. She even defended Maruti from the giant bull, Kutumbhi.
Gudiya and Pappu Gupta’s mother is Sarla, in Gudiya Humari Sabhi Pe Bhari. She is extremely sensitive feels strong emotions. When her children are going through a tough time and want to vent out, she is always all-ears for them. She shares a delicate bond with her husband, Radhe and mother-in-law, Jiya. Not hesitant to cry, she glues the Gupta family together with her tears.
Swati is an ardent devotee of goddess Santoshi, in the religious drama serial Santoshi Maa Sunayein Vrat Kathayein. The goddess is the divine mother to Swati and provides her with a breakthrough whenever Polomi Devi (Santoshi Maa’s rival) conspires against her. Santoshi Maa takes the human form of Dhara didi to guide Swati and her husband, Indresh, into wisdom and understanding.
