Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2019 Highights: Nagpur’s Sugandha Date Wins Zee TV Reality Show

Sugandha Date, 14, from Maharashtra won singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2019. She took home a coveted trophy and Rs 5 lakh cash prize.
Zee TV’s iconic singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2019 kept television viewers hooked and booked for over three months. The reality TV show gave young children a coveted platform to showcase their talent in front of millions of audience and industry bigwigs. Moreover, judges Shaan, Richa Sharma, Amaal Malik, and the jury nurtured and polished their skills with great dedication and care. On Sunday night, the show concluded another season with the announcement of 14-year-old Sugandha Date as its winner.
Sugandha comes from the orange city and winter capital of Maharashtra, Nagpur. The talented champ often won comparisons with one of the leading playback singer Shreya Ghoshal, owing to her melodious voice. Sugandha competed against five other finalists – Mohammed Faiz, Pritam Acharya, Anushka Patra, Aastha Das, and Aayush KC. She bagged a prestigious trophy and Rs 5 lakh as a cash prize.
“I am very happy that I have become the winner of `Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li`l Champs`. I could make everyone proud and live up to their expectations. I wasn`t sure about winning, but I had a feeling that if I`ll give my best then I might win. I will save the prize money (Rs 5 lakh) for my life`s best opportunity. My whole journey on `…Li`l Champs` was beautiful,” Sugandha was quoted as saying by a leading news portal. Notably, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs is not Sugandha’s first television stint. She earlier contested in Indian Idol Junior and ended up as one of the finalists in 2013.
Mohammed Faiz finished second while Pritam Acharya was declared as third. Both of them won a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh and 2 lakh respectively and also a trophy each. Needless to mention, the grand finale night of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2019 Season 7 was a memorable event laced with the esteemed presence of Bollywood playback singers like Mika Singh, Kumar Sanu, Kavita Krishnamurthy, and Babul Supriyo. Also joining the do and adding to the glitz n’ glam were  Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani who appeared on the show to promote their forthcoming film, Kabir Singh.
