Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs Grand Finale: 14-Year-Old Sugandha Date Wins The Show

After impressing the audience with back to back melodious performances for nearly four months, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2019 concluded with a grand finale on Sunday night. Nagpur, Maharashtra’s Sugandha Date is the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2019. Sugandha, one of the immensely talented kids on the Zee TV reality singing show, took home the coveted trophy and a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh.

14-year-old Sugandha has been winning hearts with her soul-stirring voice and earned heaps of praise from all the celebrity guests seen in attendance on the show. The nightingale of the SRGMPLilChamps is learning music from renowned maestro Anand Sharma Ji from an early age. She was the second finalist picked amongst the total of six namely Pritam Acharya, Mohammed Faiz, Anushka Patra, Aastha Das and Aayush KC besides Sugandha. She made her way to the semi-finals with the song ‘Bhare Naina’ from the movie Ra. One which received a standing ovation from the judges.

The first runner-up is Mohammed Faiz. He received a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh. Second runner-up if Pritam Acharya who won a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh. The remaining finalists too received a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each. The finale episodes were graced by a bunch of dignitaries from the film and music world including Kabir Singh actors Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. Legendary singers Kumar Sanu, Kavita Krishnamurthy, and Mika Singh marked their presence with a medley of their evergreen numbers alongside the finalists.

One of India’s biggest and most iconic music reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs premiered its recent season in February. Shaan, Richa Sharma and Amaal Malik judged the show while Jamai Raja actor Ravi Dubey was the host.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs will now be replaced by another popular reality show, the seventh season of Dance India Dance. Dance India Dance: Battle of the Champions features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bosco Martis and Raftaar as judges and Dheeraj Dhoopar of Kundali Bhagya show as the host. It goes on air on 22 June 2019, Saturday-Sunday 8 pm.
