SRGMP Li’l Champs: Udit Narayan-Kumar Sanu Bid Adieu; Himesh-Javed Ali Join As Judges

There’s good news for all the fans of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs. The show is all set to start from 18 July 2020. The one big change on the show will be two new judges as legendary singers of all time Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu have bid adieu to the singing reality show. The makers of the show have roped in singers Himesh Reshammiya and Javed Ali who will be joining Alka Yagnik on the judges’ panel.

Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu opted out due to their prior commitments. According to a source, the show was brought to a halt due to coronavirus in March. Himesh Reshammiya and Javed Ali, who have a long association with the show agreed to do the show when approached by the makers.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs premiered on 29 February 2020 and is hosted by Maniesh Paul. Apart from Alka Yagnik, Himesh and Javed there is a grand jury of 30 people from the music industry who appreciate the contestants and their talent. The entire cast and crew of the show resumed shoot from 10 July. Well, the special guest to be seen in the weekend episode will be Arun Govil, Deepika Chikhalia and Sunil Lahiri who played the role of Ram, Sita and Laxman in the Ramayan show. Actor Punit Issar who essayed the role of Duryodhan will join the cast on Sunday’s episode.

The cast and crew of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs want to appreciate and applaud the everyday heroes who went against all odds and contributed immensely towards the society during this difficult time. These heroes will be coming on the weekend episode as special guests.

Vikrant Suresh Dhawle who is a Mumbai police constable risked his life to keep the people safe. Mumbai police did their best to keep people off the roads. They did everything it took from requesting them, to touching their feet, and patrolling 24/7 to ask people to stay home. After testing positive for COVID-19, Vikrant got himself treated and went right back to his duty.

While the other COVID-19 heroes are Eric Lobo and Merlin Lobo who got married in the pandemic and donated the money to buy oxygen cylinders and 50 hospital beds for COVID patients. The couple is still helping and doing their bit by providing food and necessary items with their wedding money.

The other special guest is Dr Sharmila Bahulekar wife of late Dr AnilBahulekar a general physician who died due to coronavirus. He always kept his clinic open for the needy and it was his dream to audition for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Apart from being a doctor, he was a singer by passion.

Roshan Bhullar Chaudhary, who is an ambulance driver and has not gone home for the past 3 months, is another very special guest on the show. Roshan transports patients with COVID-19 to the hospital and is continuously on duty.
