Throwback Thursday: 4 Times Tomboy Bokul Fought To Protect Her Loved Ones In Bokul Kotha

In the Zee Bangla TV serial Bokul Kotha, the protagonist Bokul (played by Ushasi Ray) is a boisterous young tomboy who is basically like the son that her parents never had! She is full of vim, vigour and courage, and does not hesitate to mince her words to speak her mind or even jump into a physical fight if the situation calls for it! Check out these instances of when Bokul bravely stood up for her loved ones and fought for them.

1. Bokul Fends Off Goons From Her Sister

Bokul’s sister Barsha is on her way home on the road when a bunch of goons appear and start harassing her. They make inappropriate comments and are extremely disrespectful to her. Barsha is terribly scared and uncomfortable and tries to get away. Thankfully, Bokul finds her and when she sees what is happening, confronts them and fights them off! She then takes Barsha home safely.

2. Bokul Goes All Out To Gather Funds For A Poor Person

The brash Bokul is quick to lash out if she is provoked, and had previously almost started a fight with Rishi (Honey Bafna) for driving recklessly on the road! However, she does it again when she sees a car hurtling down full speed on the road, not realising that is Rishi again! Bokul yells at him and he gets extremely irritated. She tries to extract money from him too, and that’s when he realises that this time around, it is just a ruse to help raise funds for a friend of hers in the neighbourhood who needs money, and is actually impressed with her.

3. Bokul Reasons With Her Mother To Let Her Sister Go To College

Barsha sets her mind to pursuing higher studies and get a degree in college. However, her marriage has already been fixed and their mother does not want to allow this. Bokul reasons with her and tries to make her see why letting her daughter prioritize education is actually a good idea! Of course, this makes her mother angry as she only wants to act for her daughter’s good, but this does not deter Bokul from continuing the conversation.

4. Bokul Decides To Donate Her Kidney

When her sister goes through financial stress and almost cancels her impending wedding because of it, Bokul decides to donate her kidney so that she can buy the jewellery her sister can’t afford! Now who wakes up every other day to do something so enormously generous for someone, even if it is a loved one? Well, Bokul for one!
