ZEE5 Originals And Stars Win Big At Major Awards This Year

2019 has been the year of great performances and extraordinary achievements for ZEE5! The OTT platform boasts of a diverse content collection in various regional languages including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali to name a few. Not only is the video streaming service churning out new originals in each of these and more languages every month but also steadily acquiring shorts, feature films and series. Notably, ZEE5 even took home numerous trophies at recently concluded prestigious awards shows in a variety of categories to showcase it’s dominance in Indian digital content. Top shows across languages like Auto Shankar (Tamil), Kaafir (Hindi) and Rangbaaz (Hindi) bagged honours. Bigger stars like Dia Mirza, Arjun Rampal found a fresh lease of life on the digital medium and were awarded for their stellar performances.

Kaafir, a web series starring Dia Mirza, Mohit Raina, and Dishita Jain, was named the Best Web Series OTT (Critics) at Gold Awards 2019. While Dia lifted the Best Actor OTT Female (Critics) for her portrayal of Kainaaz Akhtar in her debut digital drama at the same do, and and was also named Best Actress in a Web Series (Jury) at MTV IWMBuzz Digital Awards 2019. Sunny Leone, who starred in a web show Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story based on her life story, won the OTT Icon Of The Year Award. Vikrant Massey, seen in the recently released Broken But Beautiful Season 2, too clinched a win for his stint as Veer on the ZEE5 and ALTBalaji Original.
